Jacobs Ladder

After watching Tricia make this on Craft TV Weekly last week, I knew I wanted to try it.

So I made my father a special 80th birthday "Jacob's Ladder" card:

It features photos of him growing up from a small boy to the wonderful grandfather he is today. Stamps include "family treasure" with small jewels. Chipboard, ribbon, brads and rub-ons were also used to decorate it.

Last night we went out to dinner with the family, and when he opened it, my sister quipped, "There goes Martha Stewart again...."

Thanks Jill! Yes, he did like it; good thing I didn't give him the first one I made; I did something wrong with the ribbon and it didn't work :(

Good thing I had purchased triple the ribbon I needed; the first one got ripped up and the second try was the charm.
